The colder weather is quickly coming to an end here in Florida so in order to maximize the amount  of time we get out in the thick swamps some of the FBI have instituted:  "Friday Night Hikes" As the sun sets we head out into known sighting areas.  From Lettuce Lake to the Green Swamp we try to hit them all as well as utilize a little of the "Ambassador Project" to offer gifts. Kevin Thomas Kehl spent the afternoon searching the woods and swamps around the area where the team discovered the torn up palms and possible bedding last week. "I found what  appeared to be a footprint although I'm not totally convinced it was (see below).  There was a lot of standing water out here today due to the rain from the last cold front.  While I was walking through the swamps looking for an appropriate spot for "The Ambassador Project" I took lots of pictures. At one point I heard a loud thud and breaking sticks on the ground. I was not able to find what it was. It could very well have been a hog....I'm not sure at this point. Last week Kevin Thomas Kehl did some preliminary research into a local BFRO sighting area in Central Florida. (See that report here ) This week Kevin returns with fellow FBI Nick Tudor to dig deeper into the swamps. Amazing sights and discoveries awaited them.  See the pics below. This past Monday Bigfoot Investigator Kevin Thomas Kehl headed out to the field to investigate an area that was listed in a BFRO report that took place in Hillsborough County Florida in the fall of 2013. Kevin Thomas Kehl from Enigmatic Anomalies Finding an adequate and secure entrance point took most of his time that afternoon because the surrounding area is so densely populated but ultimately this turned out to be a great reconnaissance trip for a future a expedition for the F.B.I. Before the sun finally set, Kevin was able to discover something of great interest during his journey into this deep, dense and animal rich wilderness area. Florida Bigfoot Investigators are wrapping up another annual expedition that occurs every year just prior to Halloween. This year the focus has been on aerial surveillance as the team is trying to perfect that art of peering over the tree tops of the thick swamp in search of elusive Florida Skunk Ape. The Aerial Platform Electronic Surveillance,  otherwise known as A.P.E.S., has proved to be a challenge as the first three tests have resulted in less than desirable results. Some would view these as failures while the FBI uses them as learning lessons to make the system better and more useful. APES-4 has taken a huge step in the right direction towards stability while in the sky however, there is still room for improvement. The maximum height achieved on the test approx. 200 feet.
